  • FZS supports a project in villages outside Bale Mountains National Park in Ethiopia. These women make energy efficient stoves that use 50% less wood than cooking on a normal fire would.   • Bale Mountains NP, Ethiopia, supports tens of millions of people around it with fresh and clean water. If the villagers continue destroying Bale by cutting firewood, burning it and letting their livestock graze there this will soon come to an end. The microclimate will change so that the rains will be more concentrated and thus will run past the people before they can use it.
