  • Chisanse is a temporary village situated inside the Nsumbu NP. From June to November each year, people are allowed to live there and use it as base for fishing for Tanganyika Sardines (Kapenta) in the area. During this time, about 2,000 people live there and build simple grass huts to live in. They fish all night and in daytime the fish is dried on the nets on the ground.
